The Rolling Stones have been entertaining audiences for more than 50 years. Even now, they are still producing electric live performances that attract audiences from across the globe, playing their own unique sound that assimilates various musical genres.
They were formed in London in 1962 and played their first gig at the Marquee Club that same year. Their focus on incorporating the blues into rock'n'roll music along with their long hair and youthful rebelliouness soon made them hugely successful. They became part of the vanguard of the British invasion of bands that achieved popularity in the US in the mid-1960s. Since the start of their career they have released 30 studio albums, 23 live albums and achieved numerous chart hit singles including Honky Tonk Woman & Jumpin Jack Flash. The Rolling Stones were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1989 and the UK Music Hall of Fame in 2004.
