Jill Furmanovsky: Rhapsody in Black
Jill Furmanovsky: Rhapsody in Black
For the last 50 years Jill Furmanovsky has been the leading light in music photography. From in-house photographer at the legendary Rainbow Theatre to artist-in-residence at Abbey Road Studios, Jill has shot the greatest bands in rock history including Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Rolling Stones, Oasis, Amy Winehouse and Bob Marley.
“From 1966, when I was a 13 year old standing outside Abbey Road Studios clutching a Kodak Instamatic hoping to catch sight of The Beatles, to working inside Abbey Road Studios with Noel Gallagher in 2019, one way or another I've been a rock and roll photographer for most of my life.” Jill Furmanovsky, November 2019
In our latest exhibition 'Rhapsody in Black', we showcase the very best of Jill's black and white iconic images; a selection of timeless photographs that capture the emotion and humanity of her subjects perfectly.
