For the last year we’ve missed seeing our favourite music artists perform. We’ve missed the joy and escapism that live music gives us, that sense of togetherness, the songs, the crowd, the electricity and adrenaline of it all. Live music makes us feel just that - ‘alive’- and now more than ever we need it back.
So as restrictions ease, live music will be back in force and once again we can enjoy the energy, noise, sweat and thrill of watching our favourite music artists perform in Britain’s top music venues.
To we are delighted to collaborate woth the Lucy Bell Gallery to present ‘Live!’ An exhibition that showcases some of the greatest ever live music photographs. Images that capture the true essence of live performance.
Included in this exciting mix, are iconic shots of leading artists performing at some of music’s greatest venues, both past and present; Jimi Hendrix on stage at the Marquee Club; the Sex Pistols tearing down the 100 Club; Oasis storming it at Slane Castle and Jimmy Page rocking it with Led Zeppelin at Earls Court.
The exhibition features work by renowned photographers Jill Furmanovsky, Kevin Cummins, David Corio, Ray Stevenson, Ian Dickson, Michael Putland, and covers images taken over the last 50 years. It is a collection full of joy, energy and nostalgia to keep us all going until we can enjoy live music once again in the real.
