Oasis Montage Print of black and white photos taken by Jill Furmanovsky

Oasis photographer Jill Furmanovsky

Catalogue No: OAMO001JF Artist(s): Oasis, Liam Gallagher, Noel Gallagher Location: Various Date: 1990s Era: The 1990's Edition: Rockarchive Edition 250 Print type: Giclée Print Paper type: Archival 310gsm cotton based rag paper

To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Oasis' third album Be Here Now, we have released an exclusive specially created montage print compiled of images by acclaimed photographer Jill Furmanovsly.

The montage was created by friend and photographer Andi Blake. Andi, a massive Oasis fan, painstakingly produced the image from test strips of Jill's darkroom prints recovered from her studio. He worked on the montage on his kitchen table before and after work for several weeks, even resorting to taking his kid's photos down so he could hang it up when he wasn't working on it.

The final artwork contains around 150 images of different band members taken from 1995 through Oasis' heyday years. Many of the photos are rare and include glimpses of Oasis performing at Maine Road in 1996, during photoshoots taken in Kings Cross & Paris, on tour in the US in 1996, and private moments behind the scenes. As Andi puts it, it's a 'must-have' for any Oasis fan!

The edition is comprised of 220 A2 size prints ready to frame on high-quality matt paper. They are signed by Jill Furmanovsky and embossed as well as numbered in pencil. Framing is also possible within the London area. Please email info@rockarchive.com for details.

In addition, for super fans with wall space, we are making a further edition of 30 prints at around the full size of the original artwork - see the photo of Jill and Andy standing next to it. This will be at A0 size. The first five are available at a special introductory price.

  • Print type

At Rockarchive we carefully select the best print-type to optimise each individual photograph. We have chosen to print this image as a giclée fine art print produced in our London studio.

A giclée print is the most popular way of producing great quality collectable prints in the digital age. It is produced is by scanning an original negative. The image is then outputed onto the chosen paper using specialist inks to make a beautiful archival print.

    Paper type

This giclée print will be produced on archival 310gsm cotton based rag paper. Photo Rag paper is the most popular choices amongst professional printers as it produces high quality fine art prints with excellent clarity and depth.
