Guido Harari started out in the early Seventies as a music photographer and journalist. He also spent time exploring reportage, fashion, advertising, corporate photography and graphic design for his books.
He’s produced countless record covers for such artists as Kate Bush, David Crosby, Bob Dylan, B.B. King, Ute Lemper, Paul McCartney, Lou Reed, Simple Minds and Frank Zappa.
In Italy Guido Harari has collaborated with many major stars, including Claudio Baglioni, Andrea Bocelli, Paolo Conte, Pino Daniele, Fabrizio De André, Mia Martini, Gianna Nannini, Luciano Pavarotti, PFM, Vasco Rossi, and Maestro Riccardo Muti and La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra.
He curated the large multimedia Fabrizio De André exhibition for Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, the Art Kane Visionary exhibition for Galleria Civica in Modena and Made in Cloister in Naples. His photography has also been the subject of numerous exhibitions at the Rockheim Museum in Norway, the Ravello Festival, the Galleria Nazionale dell’Umbria in Perugia, the Museo Nazionale Rossini in Pesaro and the Italian Embassy in Washington DC.
Guido has published numerous books: among them The Beat Goes On (with Fernanda Pivano, 2004), Vasco! (2006), Fabrizio De André. Una goccia di splendore (2007), Fabrizio De André & PFM.
