Oasis's Knebworth Park gigs in August 1996 are amongst the most memorable events in UK music history. Two legendary nights saw Oasis play to 250,000 adoring fans. Renowned music photographer Jill Furmanovsky was there to see it all: from the July rehearsals at the NEC, soundchecks the day before to the era-defining onstage performances.
Jill has said of this work, "Although the photographs from Knebworth prove 'I was there then', the strange thing about shooting intensely is that you are in a 'zone' - physically present but simultaneously also virtually absent. Everything is witnessed through an eye-piece with one eye closed. and none of it seems to register on the memory in the same way as a camera-free event. Then later you finally see all the pictures and go 'Wow!'".
Now, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of these super-concerts, Jill has been back through her photo archive to create a unique collection of limited edition Oasis prints.
