Ty Johnson is a photographer and art director from Melbourne, Australia. Originally hailing from Western Australia, whilst living and working in the UK for a number of years he ignited a long term passion to discover, document and elevate the experience of quality live music.
Armed with a Diploma of Photography, he divides his time between working in online advertising, running the music video project Sideshow Alley (www.sideshowalley.tv) and regularly deferring to shoot his twin passions of travel and music. For the past 2 years I have been a staff photographer for Meredith Music Festival & Golden Plains.
As the official photographer for several music festivals, his work has taken him to Glastonbury, Fuji Rock and SXSW. Recent photography clients have included Mumford & Sons, Ben Howard, The Staves, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros and Communion Records. Festivals shot include; Laneway Festival, Fuji Rock, Latitude Festival and Glastonbury. Recent clients include Mumford & Sons and Communion.
