Storm Thorgerson was undoubtably responsible for some of the greatest albums covers of all time. In a career spanning six-decades of music, he was best known for his work with rock greats Pink Floyd. Iconic and visually striking, Storm designed more than ten albums for the band, as well as box sets, reissues and promotional materials.
David Gilmour recalls ”The artworks that he created for Pink Floyd from 1968 to the present day have been an inseparable part of our work."
At Rockarchive we are extremely proud to represent such a great body of Storm's work. Many of the images we offer are rare and exclusive to Rockarchive, and include a variety of alternative album cover designs. This includes the iconic 'Wire Cow' print, celebrating the 40th anniversary release of Atom Heart Mother, currently on display at the V&A's 'Their Mortal Remains' exhibition.
All of our prints are of the highest quality and produced by our master printer, Stuart Nicholls, who Storm insisted print all his work due to his exceptional printing skills and exacting standards. A number of our fine art prints are signed by Storm, those that aren't, are embossed with a certified Storm Thorgerson estate stamp and signed by a representative of Storm Studios.
We hope you enjoy our collection. Find out more in this interview between Storm and his great friend and Rockarchive founder, Jill Furmanovsky https://www.rockarchive.com/videos/2016/jill-furmanovsky-in-conversation-with-storm-thorgerson
