Jazz & Blues Collection

Welcome to our Jazz & Blues Print Collection - over 50 years of iconic images of the world's greatest Jazz & Blues musicians.

Both jazz and blues originated in the deep south around the end of the 19th century. The blues came out of the African-American communities, from their work songs, field chants and hollers. The blues is characterized by its chord progression, the use of flattened or bent notes or “blue notes”, and its sad and melancholy lyrics. Jazz came out of those same southern US communities at the same time, but was the result of the combining of African and European music. it is characterized by the use of blue notes, improvisation, syncopation, and what was coined the “swung note".

For over a century Jazz & Blues have inspired musicians and influenced numerous musical genres. Our fantastic limited edition print collection includes images of some of the world's greatest ever Jazz & Blues artists, John Coltrane, Miles Davis, BB King, Ella Fitzgerald, Cootie Williams, Duke Ellington plus many more, and ensures there is something special for every fan.
