Joe Strummer performing onstage during one of The Clash's legendary gigs at The Lyceum, London in October 1981
Steve Rapport recalls, "Every Clash show was legendary, but the seven nights The Clash played at The Lyceum on the Radio Clash tour are regarded as amongst the pinnacles of punk. This picture of Joe, giving the sideways finger, was taken on the first night, Sunday October 18th 1981. I’ve recently gone back to the negatives and scanned dozens more, because almost every frame oozes the power and the passion of The Only Band That Matters. There’s even one great shot of the only drummer that matters, Topper Headon.
And four nights later I was taking pictures at The Ramones gig at the Hammersmith Palais. What a time to be alive".
