Amy Winehouse blowing gum during a photo shoot with Charles Moriarty in New York in 2003.
Charles Moriarty says, "I remember asking Amy, ‘What do you want from this?’ and I do remember she wanted it to be as real as could be. She wanted it to be her in those photos. It wasn’t to be a projection of a girl in the music industry or a girl releasing her first album, it was just supposed to be Amy. I suppose it’s only in hindsight that the images stand out as much as they do – especially now that we have so many later versions of her that most people rely on. With these, you see something that’s very real. A mixture of youth, naivety. A lost youth, almost – but with a steely determination as well".
Charles Moriarty's prints are numbered, signed and come with a certificate of authenticity. They are available in the following edition sizes:

A traditional C-type print is a colour print made in a darkroom from a colour negative or transparency. It is produced on light sensitive paper using a chromogenic process. Before digital technology, these were the prints we all received from the pharmacies from our holiday films. C-type prints are archival and are still preferred by some photographers and collectors to digital art prints.
Fuji Crystal Archival Paper is a professional archival paper.
Our prints are available in a variety of sizes. Please see below for specific measurements for the 'A series' of paper sizes.
A3 (11.7" x 16.5" inches) (29.7 cm x 42.0 cm)

A1 (23.4" x 33.1" inches) (59.4 cm x 84.1 cm)
A0 (33.1" x 46.8" inches) (84.1 cm x 118.9 cm)

If you live in London we can arrange to get your print framed for you. Once the print is framed you can either collect it from our London Rockarchive Studio, in Kentish Town or we can arrange for it to be delivered to your London address (at an extra charge).
If you live elsewhere in the UK, we can arrange to get smaller sized prints framed and shipped to you. However due to postage regulations acrylic (eg perspex) rather than glass needs to be used in the frame.
