Now that the United Kingdom (UK) has left the European Union (EU) there are changes to the way that tax will be charged on purchases made by EU customers on our UK based website.
Firstly we would like to reassure you that we are still delivering as usual to the EU with no delays. If your order is being delivered to a European country you will no longer be charged UK VAT (Value Added Tax) at the current UK VAT rate of 20%.
A typical purchase from our website for one of our prints of £291.67 would previously have had an additional 20% VAT added for all EU customers, bringing the total print price to £350. This is no longer the case and EU customers will now not pay UK VAT on purchases made on our website.
For example, if an EU customer wanted to purchase the A3 print shown in the table, they will now only be charged by Rockarchive the 'Price' of £291.67 plus the cost of delivery.
As a result of these changes which came into effect January 1st 2021 there will now be Customs Duties and Import VAT due on all goods imported to any EU country from the UK. These are charged once a shipment reaches the recipient's country. The local customs office/ courier will contact you to collect these taxes and fees. Once paid the goods will continue their journey to you/the recipients address.
The taxes and fees will vary by country. Over the next few weeks we will try to provide more detail regarding these charges and how they will affect each individual EU country but in the meanwhile if you require further information please get in touch info@rockarchive.com
