U2 (Liam Gallagher, Bono U2) by Jill Furmanovsky

Oasis were supporting U2 in America. This picture was taken while Noel was singing ’Don’t Look Back In Anger’. Liam was watching him intently from the side of the stage and I was shooting pictures of him. Suddenly Bono loomed into view on the right and I quickly swopped focus from left to right. I was using a Nikon F5 and an 85mm lens. I think this is one of the best live images I've ever taken.

 

Edition 30/30/30 is Jill Furmanovsky’s founding edition for Rockarchive and is Exclusive to Rockarchive.

It was conceived in 1998 to celebrate her 30 Years as a rock photographer. The edition consists of 30 images made from the original negatives* on museum quality silver gelatin fibre paper, in an edition of 30.
