My memories of the shoot are of their general reluctance to co-operate, with Nancy by far the more intimidating of the duo. There were certainly some scary moments but looking at the shoot as a whole, the opposite appears to be the case.

  • This was taken during the middle part of a long session for Record Mirror to illustrate Sid & Nancy’s relationship. They had finished the interview by this point and were feeling relaxed enough to pose. Probably my personal favourite of this collection of images, despite the fact that as a rookie photographer, I nearly ruined this frame in development. Evidence of this can be seen on the right of the frame, one of my lucky breaks.
