Scissor Sisters

This shot was taken at the V festival in 2004. The band came on mid line-up just as the sun began to drop- along with the jaws of those who’d never witnessed the band. Anna Matronic and the crew... read more were simply wonderful. After the performance the band came back stage and sat and had drinks with those gathered and were simply having fun and I shot a series of very informal black and white shots which I’ve kept on file. They returned to V after conquering the charts to headline the following year. The shot is helped by the wonderful natural light which, on that small stage, was better than any spotlight.
