Rufus Wainwright

I shot this at the Cheyenne Diner on the west side of Manhattan in May of 1998. Rufus was punctual, polite and charming. He seemed very comfortable in his own skin, not the least bit nervous. I had... read more him to myself for the afternoon; we started out in his hotel room and then went to the diner to have a coffee; after that we took a walk. At times it felt a bit like a fashion shoot since he had a great look, was very aware of the camera and he definitely knew how to strike a pose.
