Roy Hargrove

I photographed Roy for the first time in 1992 - we could all tell instantly that he was something very special. You could hear the lineage of great trumpet players in his style but already his own sound... read more was there coming through in each phrase. He never seems to stop playing - minutes later he was leading his band up to the stage and was still playing as he walked off afterwards!
