The London 10th anniversary opening night!

27/10/2008
Thursday 16th October, 6:30pm saw the opening of the London leg of the Rockarchive.com 10th Anniversary show. Even before the doors opened, a crowd of people waited, invites in hand ready to begin the party.
By 6:45pm the venue was full. 200+ people, including Siobhan Fahey (Bananarama / Shakespeare's Sister) and Kate Nash, everyone laughing, drinking and celebrating together, surrounded by images taken throughout the photographic careers of more than fifty photographers. Canvas prints draped from the ceiling, banners stretched across the windows, this is is not just a normal show full of framed prints. Throughout the evening the party goers were entertained by DJ's from the Xfm radio station and also James Lafetey who has a residency at the infamous Boogaloo drinking Tavern. Bands also took to stage. 'Joanna and the Wolf' first, and later, bringing the show to a grand finale, 'The Crane Brothers' got the crowed dancing with their unique brand of ska-pop-rock.

The night came to an end all too quickly, no one wanted to leave! 10 years ago Rockarchive.com pioneered the art of fine art printing, tonight shows they are still setting the mark way above all other competition.
