Second Edition Popview + Lex Van Rossen Award on Eurosonic 2009

From the 1st of September to 1st November, young photographers can apply for this competition by sending in their best pictures to the organization. The exhibition, which features seven photographers who are selected out of the applications, will take place during the Eurosonic Noorderslag festival in Groningen, starting on 15th January. a jury chooses a winner who will receive the Lex Van Rossen Award and 2,500 euros, - More information can be found on the website: Popview

 

The European character of the Award will be emphasized with the help of Rockarchive, the international collective for music photographers. Because of this partnership, the Popview -exhibition will also be held in London after the Dutch exposition in the Noorderlicht Photogallery.

 

Popview + Lex Van Rossen Award is an annual event in memory of Lex Van Rossen, the Dutch music photographer who passed away in 2007. The initiative consists out of a prize - The Lex Van Rossen Award of 2,500 euros, - and an exhibition, Popview.
