Jill Furmanovsky at the art opening of the Betsy Hotel

Internationally renowned photographer Jill Furmanovsky at The Betsy Hotel, 1440 Ocean Drive Saturday, November 7, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. to kick off an exhibition of photography from London-based Rockarchive.  Rockarchive represents, exhibits, and sells the biggest names in rock art  including Mick Rock, Bob Gruen, Kate Simon, Gered Mankowitz and Storm Thorgerson, and images of the biggest names in rock and roll.
 
The exhibit is free and open to the public.
 
The Betsy-South Beach, the area's hot new hotel. Its lobby and hallways are the location of an exhibit of 62 photographs, including twelve new large scale works by Furmanovsky that will be on view for the first time in the USA. Complimentary tours of the collection will take place throughout the evening. Rockarchive founder, Jill Furmanovky will be on hand for interviews and to answer questions. Postcards of vintage and classic images from the Rockarchive collection will be shared as 'give-aways' with the community as part of Betsy's Sleepless Night program.
 
As part of The Betsy's programming in support of Miami Beach's blockbuster cultural arts event Sleepless Night, the hotel is also welcoming the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus to for a project honoring soldiers and veterans.  Parked on the sand directly across from The Betsy, the Lennon Bus will be open on Sleepless Night from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.  Rockarchive images will be shown at the Bus, and Jill Furmanowsky, Founder of Rockarchive will join Brian, Executive Director of the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus between 10 PM and midnight to meet the crowd.
