  • I had the good fortune to be present the first time Led Zeppelin (The New Yardbirds at the time) performed before an audience. This took place at Gladsaxe Teen Club in a school hall in the outskirts of Copenhagen. Six months later they came back to the same humble "concert hall", as Led Zeppelin. As a schoolboy I had a volunteer job as photographer for the small in-house magazine so I could go where I wanted, including the dressing room in the basement. As a schoolboy shooting with his mother’s holiday camera I looked nothing like a pro, but being a nice man, Robert Plant was willing to give the kid a chance for some good shots. Recently when I met him again he asked for a print of this image. He also signed a print for me with the words: "It was only yesterday!"

  • Terry’s notes: "This was shot on Robert Plant's 300 acre estate on the isolated west coast of Wales. He did not want the exact location disclosed. It was hilly, thick woods and steep ravines. It poured with rain most of the time we were there. Robert told me he gets much of his inspiration for writing from walking in the woods. "This place is an undistorted mirror to me."

  • This shot of Jimmy Page was only published once around the time it was taken - as a giant fold-out poster in a magazine. More than 30 years later it has now become popular which pleases me greatly as it has always been one of my personal favourites among my live shots. Q Magazine’s picture editor says "Live rock photos don’t get any cooler than Jorgen’s timeless shot of Jimmy Page which perfectly captures the excitement and energy of Page in action." It is also the one I have on my wall at home."

  • This live sequence of Robert Plant with Led Zeppelin, was originally made into a triptych of silver gelatin fibre prints, which can still be ordered. However we thought it would lend itself to the process called Lenticular (see FAQ) where-by all three frames are layered into one large image. Depending on where you are in the room, so the image changes, making it ideal for boardrooms or receptions or perhaps for the bedroom of the ultimate Led Zepp fan!
