Howard Barlow

Howard works as a freelance photographer for the Daily and Sunday Telegraphs, The Guardian and The Observer. He worked exclusively for the Independent during its heyday in the late 80s' early 90s' and before that was a staff photographer on the Daily Mirror. He is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society and Chairman of its Visual Journalism/Documentary Distinctions Panel. Howard has won many top photographic awards including Kodak News Photographer of the Year. His photographs of Rock musicians started from his Art College days in the 70s' and span the last three decades. Most of his early live band photographs have never before been published. Although now mainly a features photographer, Howard still gets opportunities to photograph musicians in a portrait style for the Observer and Guardian. Email Howard
