This was one of those great shoots that happens rarely where every thing worked out better than expected. It was my first meeting with the bard of Ireland and we hit it off straight away. We met at a country... read more hotel outside of Kanturk. The weather was beautiful and everything was so relaxed. We took pictures by the river, in a flower garden, near a boat house, and he played a private gig for me and my assistant in a flag-stoned kitchen with wonderful acoustics. I also took pictures in the evening in his room while he was writing the lyrics for a song about the murdered journalist Veronica Guerin. We left the next day firm friends and though we don't keep in touch much, I think we feel connected by that magical shoot.
